World Clean Up Day held in Accra, Cape Coast, Aburi and Kumasi

This year’s World Clean Up Day was held in Ghana with Clean Up Exercises in various places, notably Laboma Beach in Accra, Cape Coast, Koforidua, Kumasi and Aburi Mountains. Some organisations who contributed were Friends of Nature, Green Africa Youth Organisation, Play Soccer Ghana, distinguished Ambassadors and volunteers. The programme was held in collaboration with ANOCA with support of other bodies.

Despite an early heavy rain in Accra, the World Clean up Day in Ghana came on with country leader Mrs. Kate Opoku leading the programme and activities.

“Our love for the environment is enough motivation to mobilize for a clean Ghana” she said.

They picked plastic waste which is a major global problem, just like pollution.
