World Cleanup Day 2023 engages an impressive 19.1 million participants from 91% of world countries

Over 91% of the world’s countries engaged 19.1 million volunteers from around the globe for this year’s World Cleanup Day, the flagship event organized by the Estonia-born global environment action movement NGO ‘Let’s Do It World' (LDIW) which took place on Saturday, 16 September.


In a momentous recognition of its profound impact on global environmental sustainability, World Cleanup Day (WCD) has been honored with a United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG) Action Award for Mobilization. The remarkable achievement was celebrated at the UN SDG Action Awards Ceremony, held in Rome on July 24, 2023.
